Miami International Guitar Competition and Assemblage
Check out the Miami Classical Guitar Society web site for more information on the 2006 Miami International Guitar Competition which will take place in Coral Gables, June 21-25, 2006. There will be concerts and master classes by Massimo Delle Cesse (Italy), Dimitri Illiaronov (Russia), Eduardo Issac (Argentina), and David Martinez (Spain), as well as lectures, and the guitar competition.
Miami Guitar Festival
The 2006 Miami International Guitar Festival will take place March 15th to 19th in Coral Gables, Florida. Performers include Rene Gonzales, Joao Luiz and Douglas Lora, Rene Gonzalez, Vladislav Blaha, Iliana Matos, Gerardo Perez, Pablo, Ortiz, Denix Azabagic, Renaldo Guadalupe, Robert Phillips, and the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra.
Flamenco in the Sun
Taking place from July 29th to August 6th, 2006. More information on the 2006 Flamenco in the Sun event coming soon. From the 2005 web site: "Continually growing and now in its third year, Flamenco in the Sun 2005 will open with Son de la Frontera in concert, a group of flamenco musicians, made up of young heirs and followers of the Diego del Gastor school, and who through the fusion and dialogue between the Cuban tres and the flamenco guitar achieve a creative reinterpretation and open its channels and artistic discourses to the present day..."

A free program for Linux, Windows, and Mac for notating scores in a way that attempts to mimic plate engraving.
